Whitecaps TV Ad: "Just Beachy"
As seen on WGVU. "Just Beachy" was the final ad created by two other animators and myself. While my partners did the majority of character drawing, I handled the technical side of things: complex animation, file management, and editing. The music, sound effects, and promotional tag at the end were added by an outside company. | Whitecaps TV Ad: "Camping"
As seen on WGVU, "Camping" was the first West Michigan Whitecaps ad created by two other animators and myself. While my partners did the majority of character drawing, I handled the technical side of things: complex animation, file management, and editing. The music, sound effects, and promotional tag at the end were added by an outside company. | Whitecaps TV Ad: "Garage Sale"
As seen on WGVU, "Garage Sale" was third in the Adventures of Crash and Franky series. While my partners did the majority of character drawing, I handled the technical side of things: complex animation, file management, and editing. The music, sound effects, and promotional tag at the end were added by an outside company. | Whitecaps TV Ad: "Monster Car"
As seen on WGVU, "Monster Car" was the second ad, and used a combination of 3D animation and 2D Flash animation. While my partners did the majority of character drawing, I handled the technical side of things: 3D animation, complex 2D animation, file management, and editing. The music, sound effects, and promotional tag at the end were added by an outside company. | Interactive Portfolio Example
An interactive portfolio I designed for Aurora Media Group. All design aspects were done by myself. I was supplied with the original, unedited, photos and audio that was desired. | Logo Re-design Example
This is a logo redesign for Aurora Media Group. The old logo was too "bubbly." To give it a more up to date and "cutting edge" look, I gave it hard edges with a geometric layout, while maintaining the star shaped cutout and arch shape to not change the look too much. | Fireside Logo
A first concept logo design for Fireside, which became the final without any revisions. |

Student Projects and Personal Work
A New Addition
Animation: Received 2nd place in Subaru's Seven Seats Spot Contest in 2005. Also made finals in the Kalamazoo Animation Festival International the same year. | Dance, Dance Robo-lution
Animation: My final project from 3D Animation class. I used a technique called rotoscoping, working over a live action reference, which was used by Disney in "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs." | Hip Hurts v. 2
Animation: A humorous animation made to a real recording of a conversation between a telemarketer and a computer program. The original version of this was not lip synced, but got over 50,000 views in less than 2 weeks. | Mr. Know-it-all
Animation: This cut-out animation uses pieces of paper animated with an over-head camera. At that time the daily wage in the world was only $2, the assignment was to make the story about that fact. | Sunny-Side Up
Animation: This is the first project from Animation I. I worked on this stop-motion animation with three other students. We only needed to do about 30 seconds, but when we came up with the story we had to do it. | Selfless Devotion
Animation: Finalist in the American Express 2006 Tribeca Film Festival ad contest. I took this from concept to final product in under 48 hours. | The World of James Bond
Interactive Multimedia: This was created for a class project where teaching in an interactive way was required. The shooting range game is just a bonus. |
